Into the Wild

well...still no word from the repair shop on the salvage potential of my tea-soaked laptop. but after watching alexander supertramp renounce material possessions in "into the wild," i figure i can move on minus one piece of electronic equipment. the movie is worth watching, despite david denby's criticism in the new yorker review. not that the extremism portrayed was warranted, but you do have to question our society sometimes...like when faced with the glut of products in a grocery store isle or when trying to enjoy a beautiful moon-rise that is being obscured by technology. it gets a little depressing. on a more upbeat note, that second shot was taken on a previous visit to dallas--which is where we are headed this weekend. road trip!

SO glad you're back! Haven't seen the movie - read the book and loved it. Thought provoking. Good for you on the road trip - ENOY!!

Wow! Seeing that picture of the moon made me really appreciate the unobstructed view I had of a beautiful full moon last night. Not to rub it in or anything...but that's the way it is up here on the Peninsula! Just can't bring myself to miss all those telephone poles everywhere!
